Modern dentistry and dental surgery cannot do without the use of the most advanced imaging tools. The most modern way of creating digital images is the Cone Beam CT system, which produces 3-dimensional images with millimeter precision of the anatomy of the inside of the skull. This exam takes place in about forty seconds, and is the one that submits the subject to the least possible radiation in the current state of science. Thanks to this tool, the Dentist can establish extremely precise treatment plans, where any situation of danger is eliminated during the course of the operation. In addition, insofar as the placement of the implants takes place in accordance with the treatment plan previously established, and according to the measures indicated by the scanner, the time of the operation can be reduced to a quarter, which is for the patient a comfort not negligible. Measurements to the nearest millimeter provided by the scanner make it possible to know with extreme precision the thickness of the jaw, which makes it possible to implant where it would have seemed impossible before. In some cases, it is possible, using these measures, to avoid bone filling, an expensive operation which prolongs the time of treatment.
